SUPPORT: National Watersports Month, which is taking place in May to encourage the nation to get on the water, has received further support from British Water Ski and Wakeboard (BWSW). BWSW has joined forces with fellow watersports organisations British Canoe Union (BCU), British Marine Federation (BMF), British Rowing and the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) to host activities throughout May. Georgina Agnies, head of development, BWSW, said: “National Watersports Month is a great opportunity to really showcase watersports at their best. It’s a fantastic chance to work together to encourage more people into water based activities as this is what we are all aiming to achieve.” “May signifies the start of the summer – an action packed month of activity with a real focus on trying something new and having a go. BWSW is extremely pleased to be part of this initiative and we can’t wait to see more people trying out more watersports,” she added. National Watersports Months will provide a busy schedule of activities across the country for anyone of any ability to try. Water skiing, canoeing, sailing, rowing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, kayaking, cruising and more will be on offer from clubs, centres and marinas across England, Scotland and Wales. – See more
